“I have strength for all thing through Christ who empowers ME”. (Philippians 4:13)

So what are you going to do with that empowerment?  I know what I’m going to do with it.   Get on  your mark; get set and go!!! I am ready.  I am equal to anything through My Daddy God who infuses strength into every cell in my body.  The enemy may take all his power to knock me down and give his best shots, however this will not stop me.  As I am a child of God and his strength is more powerful than anything the enemy has.  The warrior inside of me has already won.  You may be in the middle of the storm doing your best dog paddling your way through it.  Hold on and push forward, God has you and will not let you sink.  When the storm comes ceases you will come not only through it, you will come out stronger than you ever been, increased more than you would ever imagine, promoted in ways than you never thought possible.  When God has you nothing can tear you down.  Take a look in the mirror and say, God has me and he will see me through this storm as I am a warrior and I cannot fail. My God cannot fail so I cannot fail as the warrior inside me has already won. (words of affirmation from Florence Schovel Shinn)[divider][fblike style=”standard” showfaces=”false” width=”450″ verb=”like” font=”arial”] [fbshare type=”button” width=”100″] [google_plusone size=”standard” annotation=”none” language=”English (UK)”]

When you ask, How can I go another day feeling like this?  When will this end and I will feel like me again?  Why do I always feel like I’m dog paddling in place? When you are going through the storm hold on tight and don’t let go.   DO NOT GIVE UP.  Just believe your sunshine is just around the mountain on the horizon.

In 1 Peter 4:12-13

Friends, when life gets really difficult, don’t jump to the conclusion that God isn’t on the job.  Instead, be glad that you are in the very thick of what Christ experienced.  This is a spiritual refining process, with glory just around the corner.

Very powerful words!!!! Don’t you agree???  “So when things are not going as you planned or go completely wrong, as they will; you all know what I’m talking about, we have all experienced it.”  When the road your are on seems all uphill and never-ending. When funds are so low and debts are off the charts high; And  smiling is a distant memory and all is pressing down on you, rest for a moment if you must but don’t you dare quit or give up.  Remember success is failure turned inside out or upside down; When the glow of silver in the clouds of your doubts and you have no way of knowing how close you are.  As it vary well may be closer than you could ever imagine. So hold on tight; stick  to the fight and most importantly DON’T YOU EVER QUIT!!!![divider][fblike style=”standard” showfaces=”false” width=”450″ verb=”like” font=”arial”] [fbshare type=”button” width=”100″] [google_plusone size=”standard” annotation=”none” language=”English (UK)”] [pinterest count=”horizontal”]

What Does Failure Look Like To You????

Take a look at the two pictures below and really think about this.  What does your failure look like to you?  Failure, does it really exist or is it something that was made up long ago.  Do we really give satan such joy?   Looking at the first picture is the  typical way of thinking of  how satan wants you to look at failure. Many people look at failure as the end. The feeling of hopelessness. The mind-set of why did I put myself out there and for what.  Just to be disappointed.  The voice in our heads saying, I should have known I would fail.  Now look, everyone sees me as a failure, one that cannot succeed at anything.  To many times we care way too much on what others think of us than caring about what our one true God is thinking.
Failure is what you make it.  This means, it depends on how one interprets it. When you look at picture two it show how one should be when it comes to failure. As your are not looking at yourself as a failure or letting anyone else look at you in such a way.  It does not matter what is going on in your life, this includes living with chronic disease/illness.  This is when we turn to God and take a deeper look as failure is not from God.  In Romans 5:3-5 says; More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.  I say, change are way of thinking and turn failure into the beginning of something great. Think about it, when you were in school learning and did not quiet get the hang of a subject, it was not because you were a failure it was because you were in the phase of embracing new knowledge.  That does not changed once you become an adult.  God is still teaching you new lessons, just as when we were children. We may not get it right away and need to practice by having to do it over and over to perfect it.  The word failure should mean God’s way of having you to perfect your best. God only wants the best for us and he is the only one that knows our true best.  Instead of failure being an event that does not accomplish its intended purpose.  At times what we think is our true best, God is saying, child, I know you have so much more you can give and as your father, I will make sure you excel in the destiny I have made for you.[divider][fbshare type=”button” width=”100″] [fblike style=”standard” showfaces=”false” width=”450″ verb=”like” font=”arial”]

Devotional Moment – Strength Within -Fly Like An Eagle

I have been sitting here at my desk contra-plating on  what this week’s devotional should be about.  With having low motivation and very little strength after a chemo series as it takes it all out of me.  Zaps what little  strength I have.  I’m the bug that just got zap by a bug zapper. It is such a daily struggle with a continuous fight going on in my head and body to regain energy, motivation, strength and will power.  As my thoughts surge into my pen hitting paper I realize when individuals living with Chronic Disease/Illness are at their weakest are also at their strongest.  I know it sounds like a contradiction.  However it really is not.  Think about it?  Yes our body is weak.  What about our mind? Is it weak?  I say no.  That is usually when our mind is at its strongest. In 1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and his STRENGTH; seek his presence continually.   The point is, as individuals we search for our strength in what we believe in.  Us that are believers we go to our LORD for our strength; we rely on his words.  Through faith in God living inside us we are given the spirit of power, love and discipline.  With this we hold on to God’s promises and be confident that he will see us through the low energy moments by finding our strength in him. You take that strength and build on it. When you truly believe God’s words and fill an abundance of energy just bursting to come out.  In Isaiah 40:29 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might, he increases strength.  So claim that power!! What is stopping you?  All you have to do is ask and it is yours.  So ask for it and God will gladly give it to you.  God loves his children and want the best for each of us. God will renew your strength so let him.  I’m going to leave you with one on my favorite verses;  Isaiah 40:31 – But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; shall mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk not be faint.  I believe we can learn from the eagle. As Eagle glides and drifts he teaches us to conserve our energies, use our enrages for the greatest good, to choose how to use our energies wisely, his fast and furious flight teaches us to be swift and focused for maximum results, we need to learn when to coast and when to accelerate. Eagles soars through the sky and owns it and he also glides and drifts to conserve his energy.  We should own the energy God gives within us and use it wisely.  I know I fail when it comes to this as I try to force my energy  full throttle and then use it up all at one time instead of conserving my energy and gliding and drifting and taking my time.  I know I not the only one that does this.

Lord my God, when we are lacking energy. motivation and will power, just knowing coming to you an asking you to renew our strength and claiming it is ours. Knowing we can call on you God for extra strength and does not matter where we are what we are doing just saying the words and depending on you LORD to sustain our strength when our own strength fails us. Thank you Lord for doing this for us. Lord I ask this in you precious name AMEN.[divider][fbshare type=”button” width=”100″] [fblike style=”standard” showfaces=”false” width=”450″ verb=”like” font=”arial”]

Worry – Why Do We Let It Get the Best Of Us!!

Why do we worry so? What does it accomplish? How does it make one feel? (Video is full Devotional)

Worry, it consumes us with negative thoughts that leads to stress, anxiety. Which leads to health issues and much more.  As individual’s we tend to worry about health, finances, jobs, family, the economy to name a few.  Having a worried mind and heart makes us unproductive by drawing the energy right out of us as, this makes us weak and not rely on God’s promise.  It drains our joy, happiness, hope and yes our  faith.  We, as humans, no matter how hard we try will go through this; however when we do it is wonderful to know God is walking beside us lifting us up and carrying each one of us without letting go. God want’s his children to have a worry free life. I, myself wonder how can this be possible?  Then I remember anything is possible with God. There is no situation how big or how small that God cannot handle. God’s promise is he would never leave us or forsake us. In Matthew 6:25 it tells us not to worry about your life.  As individuals  the need to  say I will not worry is not enough, you need to replace negative thoughts of worry with God’s words.  God’s words are powerful and can change the whole dynamics of ones day.  When an individual takes worry and remodel their thoughts to God’s promises and dwell on God’s words instead of dwell on worrying about circumstances you have no control over, you will see and feel a change within in you. When you believe with you heart and soul God is in control of your life and taking care of you.  You will find joy in your heart once. Having faith is the true foundation of living a worry free life.   No one has said it will be easy.  It reminds me when one has not been eating healthy and then puts their mind, heart and soul into making a life changing decision by eating healthier and it becomes part of them, that is actually how it should be when it comes to refocusing our lives on God and not the worry’s of life and of this world.  As Corrie Ten Boom has said, ” Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.” In Romans 8:31, What shall we then say to these things?  If God be for us, who can be against us?

Lord, God my Father, I look to you for guidance and give me strength where I fall short.  Lord, help me not to worry about the things I cannot control. Lord in obedience to scripture I cast all my worries, concern on you, as there is nothing to big for you Lord.  That I continually look in you to guide my heart and keep fear away. Help me not to let my fears, emotions or feeling hinder your plans for me.  I ask you Lord, to reveal your perfect will in this for me, in this situation as you know all.  God I ask all this in your name Lord, AMEN. [divider][fbshare type=”button” width=”100″]
